Galley of the Gods
Mensun Bound and his archaeological team re-discover the wreck of a Roman treasure ship, lost for nearly 2,000 years, a few miles off the coast of Tunisia in North Africa.  Filmmakers show the team sifting through an ancient ship stuffed to the gills with treasure -- examining massive marble columns, Corinthian capitals and temple entablature.  Dramatic footage reveals the lost ships  priceless cargo scattered across the ocean's bottom.  Digital technology also helps to recreate the final minutes of the ship's voyage.

The Ghost of Trafalgar
This program tracks the exploration of the most exciting naval archaeological discovery of the finding of the Agamemnon, Admiral Horatio Nelson's first ship.  In 1993, five Uruguayan divers discovered the legendary ship in the mouth of the River Plate, lying in shallow waters a few hundred yards from the beach.  The River Plate is home to some of the most famous shipwrecks in maritime history, due to a combination of shifting banks and Pampero storms. The Agamemnon find had great sentimental value because of its association with Britain's revered Viscount Horatio Nelson, victorious commander of the fleet at the 1805 Battle of Trafalgar against the French and Spanish which cost Nelson his life but also assured British naval supremacy for 100 years.

Last Broadside
Also in the Uruguayís River Plate lies the wreck of the Graf Spee, the pride
of Nazi Germany's navy.  This film shows how Mensun Bound and his team explored this famous wreck using modern technologies like side-scan sonar to detect the wreck in the murky waters.  In the cemetery near the wreck, German sailor's graves bear the simple inscription:  Known unto God.The program relates the infamous history of the Graf Spee, which marauded British shipping in the early days of World War II though her captain, Hans Langsdorff, ensured that no British merchant sailor died during these attacks.  Graf Spee was finally tracked down in the River Plate by three British destroyers -- the HMS Ajax, Achilles and Exeter. Captain Langsdorff  chose to destroy his own ship while saving the crew then surrender to the allies.
